OMTEC’s Mobile Coolant Treatment Unit (MCTU) separates spent machine coolant from water, so that the water (95%) can be disposed of in the sewer system or recycled in the machine shop. Also, separated oil can be burned to recover its heat value. Development started in 2004. In 2005, a patent (CA 2531169 - SPENT METALWORKING FLUID TREATMENT SYSTEM) was issued for spent cutting oil separation in machines .
